An unknown brand from Russia challenged PBN H+K Strategies to introduce a new concept in the already-crowded global smartphone space on just two weeks notice. Yota Devices had planned on unveiling its YotaPhone at the Mobile World Congress in February, but suddenly decided to launch the phone in mid-December. PBN H+K Strategies and colleagues in London, San Francisco and Denmark designed and executed a global unveiling of the YotaPhone in two weeks.
Less than one month later, YotaPhone was the subject of 1,000+ news articles and broadcast reports from around the world 20,000+ tweets and 5,000+ Facebook likes. It was named by CNET as the best mobile device at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and received similar accolades from PC Mag and Time Magazine’s Techland. YotaPhone also captured a Cannes “Innovation Lion” award in June 2013.
