As Director of Content + Analysis, Simon leads a team of in-house and freelance analysts carrying out media monitoring and research for the company’s clients. He oversees research using the Medialogia, Factiva, Brandwatch,Mediascope and Popsters monitoring systems, among others. Current monitoring clients include IKEA, Lexus and various Yandex entities.
Simon has more than a decade of experience in the communications industry, producing high quality English-language content for clients across industries. He has helped Russian companies including Rosneft, MegaFon and Yota Devices communicate internationally and also assisted foreign clients such as Airbnb, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Facebook in understanding the Russian market.
Simon has written, edited and translated annual and CSR reports, communications strategies, media monitoring reports, press releases, key messages and Q&As for all of the firm’s clients in Moscow, Almaty and Kyiv. His areas of expertise span finance, tech, retail, oil & gas and pharma.
Prior to joining PBN H+K Strategies in 2010, Simon was responsible for corporate and marketing communications for three years at professional services firm Deloitte in Moscow.
Simon graduated from the University of Bristol (UK) with a BA in Russian and Spanish.
He is fluent in English and Russian.
